About the clinic
Masking Policy Update - Effective June 1, 2023
We have updated our staff masking policy from Mandatory to Recommended.
What does this mean for you? This means that our staff at Proactive Pelvic Health Centre may or may not be wearing a mask when you attend your appointment. Our staff members will make their own personal decision based on their discretion and comfort.
Should you prefer your health care practitioner to wear a mask during your in-clinic session, please let your practitioner know at the start of your session so they may don a mask. Your comfort is our first and foremost priority so please feel free to let us know should you prefer we wear one during your appointment.
Please note that this updated COVID-19 policy may be revisited and may be modified depending on public health recommendations, infection rates and the professional judgment of our clinical team.
Please feel free to contact us at 647-352-7742 or info@proactiveph.com if you have any further questions. We thank you for your patience and cooperation.Read more about Proactive Pelvic Health CentreShow less

“I began working with Hannah Giffune a few months ago, after years of worsening pelvic pain and hip issues. Friends, I am transformed!! Hannah is amazing—fun, kind, and deeply attuned to her patients' comfort levels, but also remarkably knowledgeable and thoughtful in how she designs and adapts treatment plans. One of the things that I have found most helpful is that Hannah is, like me, an avid runner, and she has helped me understand how certain muscles and tendons work together to create tension. I now have a kind of menu of exercises that I can choose from each day, depending on how I am feeling. If you are in pain and don’t know if it will ever go away, please give physical therapy a try!”Read moreShow less

“Consuelo has been super helpful in my pregnancy journey not only in supporting/guiding the physical changes that come with pregnancy, but she also has relieved pain through physiotherapy and exercise and has also been super insightful and educative. Highly recommend!”Read moreShow less

“It turns out there was very little I knew about the critical role your Pelvic Floor Health has to do with your overall health. The Team at Proactive Pelvic Health Centre West changed all of that for me. Sophie has not only been a great teacher but also a wonderful coach. I don't have to accept the limitations of aging anymore and the discomfort that comes with it. This seldom talked about group of muscles has performed an important role in my health life and I had no idea of it. I now understand that both Men and Women alike can have a more fulfilling and enjoyable life with just a bit more TLC shown to this group of muscles that form a floor at the base of the pelvis. Muscles that are responsible for supporting the organs within the pelvis, including the bladder, bowel, and uterus (in women). Thanks again to PPHC for all the caring help you have provided!”Read moreShow less

“I cannot recommend Kaitlyn Swartz enough! After giving birth, I was struggling with pelvic floor concerns, and Kaitlyn was truly a lifesaver. From the very first session, she made me feel heard, supported, and completely at ease. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in a way that makes sense. Her genuine care and thoughtful approach made all the difference in my recovery. Finding someone as kind and dedicated as Kaitlyn is rare, and I’m beyond grateful for her help. If you’re looking for a physiotherapist who truly cares, she’s the one!”Read moreShow less

“As a senior woman I was suffering from frequent urination issues, especially during night sleep and reaching my limit of tolerance. I began working with physiotherapist Kaitlyn who gave very professional, sensitive, respectful, encouraging, gentle, knowledgeable, and effective treatments as well as exercises for me to do at home. I was given a tracking sheet, approach, to see my improvement and gain understanding of both positive and negative factors affecting this condition. A cream was also recommended for me which has helped with itching and dryness. I feel much happier and at ease, am sleeping much better, and more in control of this important elimination process. I would strongly recommend Kaitlyn to anyone having this physical challenge.”Read moreShow less

“My experience was extremely positive. What impressed me the most was the sharing of information that made me more motivated in my healing process. I highly reccomend the Proactive Pelvic Health Center expecially to men that are reluctant to take their body health in their own hands.”Read moreShow less

“I had previously been a client at the PPHC Danforth. When they added the new Toronto West clinic, on College Street, I began going there because it is closer for me. I was happy to find that this clinic has the same professional and comforting vibe as the Danforth does. Under the care of therapist Laurie Bickerton, the transition has been seamless. A stated goal of PPHC is to make you feel better than when you came, and they certainly achieve that and so much more. I continue to recommend their service and their products to family and friends, whose feedback has also been very positive!”Read moreShow less
