“Unfortunately, I felt this was more like a business matching clients than a counselling practice. It felt cold and more transactional than my past experiences. I just expected more warmth and a sense of care. The counsellor was nice, just inexperienced, but like the other post here, I was immediately asked for a review after just meeting. “My son had only one appointment and I was already being asked to leave a Google review. It felt uncomfortable and a bit pressuring, because I worried that not doing it could affect the relationship going forward. I’m also concerned for people who rely on reviews when choosing counselling, as I did. knowing if a counsellor is good or helpful, takes time. What's the priority here? “Sondra provided a warm welcome and allowed me to tell her my situation and what I was hoping for in terms of treatment. Sondra informed that that I would be a good candidate for EMDR, which is what I was seeking. Sondra performed a devisualization exercise with me that had immediate effect on my body.
