Hi, my name is Susan and I am one of the psychotherapists at kāer. I have a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and advanced, ongoing training and supervision in Perinatal Mental Health. I am a trained clinician with over 23 years of experience, registered with my professional college (OCSWSSW) and therefore my services are covered by most insurance providers. I have developed a passion for women’s health and wellness across the lifespan through my work in hospitals, community, primary care and private practice. I am the proud mother of 5 adult children which has provided me with rich lived experience. I am also a grandmother of 6 which keeps me up to date on the joys and challenges of present day parenthood. Perhaps you are struggling with infertility, or questioning whether or not you would like to become a parent. Maybe you have suffered losses in the process of trying to start a family. You might be be a new parent struggling with hormonal shifts, lack of sleep, challenges with feeding and wondering how to divide household labour between you and your partner.
