About Sarah

My background includes wide-ranging work within the community/system for the last 15 years in numerous capacities ranging from victim advocate to a member of the Domestic Abuse High Risk Team. I specialize in trauma, grief and loss, sexual violence, sex work, addictions, and domestic violence. After an extensive career within the community and advocating for diverse populations, I have shifted focus to private practice to work deeper along with individuals seeking assistance and guidance through life’s inevitable challenges. Each journey is unique and worthy. My wide-ranging background allows me to understand the lived realities many individuals have faced, and to draw upon a broad spectrum of experience when assisting individuals through a range of challenges. Methods I practice from include trauma-informed, narrative therapy, cognitive-based therapy, EMDR, anti-oppressive practice, feminist and attachment theory. Through a combination of these methods, I seek to guide individuals and couples through their experiences and build their personal skillsets to identify and address difficulties. I have always had a passion for community, social action, and advocacy. Building an in depth understanding of challenges faced by a range of vulnerable populations, allows me to bring a broad world-view to the lens of individual challenges and a varied scope of approaches to each particular situation.
