About Sarah
#About Sarah
Sarah became a therapist because she genuinely cares about people, and believes every person's story is unique. Her own lived experience with perinatal mental health, including postpartum depression and anxiety after becoming a first-time mom, deepened her empathy for how overwhelming and isolating that transition can be. She knows firsthand how pregnancy, birth, and the early newborn stage can bring unexpected emotional challenges, identity shifts, and changes within relationships.
That experience strengthened Sarah's passion for supporting individuals and families navigating the complexities of parenthood with compassion, hope, and practical support. Above all, she wants her clients to know they don't have to face life's challenges alone.
#Areas of focus
- IVF / IUI / fertility treatments
- Grief / miscarriage / stillbirth / birth trauma
- Pregnancy / postpartum
- Men’s mental health
- Psychosocial assessments
#Approach
Sarah's approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in genuine curiosity. She takes the time to understand each client as a whole person rather than focusing only on what brought them to therapy, drawing from CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment based principles, person centred therapy, and trauma informed practice. She's naturally reflective, asking thoughtful questions while offering practical strategies clients can use outside of sessions too.
#What to expect
A first session with Sarah is all about getting to know you, no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Conversations feel warm, collaborative, and genuine, and together you'll explore what's important to you and work at a pace that feels comfortable. Her hope is that you leave each session feeling heard and supported, with a greater sense of clarity and confidence than when you arrived.
