About Sandy

Interested in sports from an early age, Sandy enjoyed playing a multitude of sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball and field hockey throughout her school years. From a very young age Sandy sought out ways to make improvements in sport, nutrition, and rehabilitation that would further develop her overall athletic performance.
In university, Sandy played on the UVic Field Hockey team for 5 years, winning 3 national championships. Currently she is a member of the over 40 women’s national field hockey team, two competitive dragon boat teams and a local women’s soccer team.
Sandy continues to support the local sports community by volunteering in the coaching realm or having a medical tent for high school, regional and provincial tournaments. She has been volunteering in the field hockey league for over 10 years and in 2018 received the FHBC outstanding volunteer award.
Realizing her passion for sport and human movement grew beyond her participation on various sport teams, she went on to complete a Diploma in Sports Injury Management and became a Certified Athletic Therapist, In 2010, after many years working in a clinical setting and for multiple professional teams, Sandy decided to return to school. She graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy where she completed her thesis with a focus on Migraines.
Over the last 20 years, Cassandra has worked with several professional, national, provincial level sport organizations. Career highlights thus far include Women’s U20 National Soccer CONCACAF 2004 Champions in Montreal and two world championships in Thailand (2004) and Russia (2006). World CPISRA GAMES in New London, Connecticut 2005 Men’s Paralympic Soccer. Women’s Olympic Field Hockey Qualifier Head Medical Therapist held at University of Victoria, 2007. University of Victoria Women’s Field Hockey Therapist National Championships in 2005 – 2008. Men’s Paralympic Soccer Worlds in Argentina in 2017 and Ecuador 2018 for the Worlds qualifying tournament and para pan American games. She has enjoyed working in a few clinics in Victoria. Enabling her to gain valuable experience with a wide array of injuries from on the field to clinical settings.
Specializing in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, postural assessment and active rehabilitation. Sandy utilizes her wide range of therapeutic education and experience to help people achieve and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Therapeutic tools employed include manual therapy and osteopathic practices, craniosacral and visceral therapy, and musculoskeletal and fascial techniques.
Having been raised in Victoria, she loves our beautiful island and all it offers. When not working, Sandy enjoys camping, hiking and surfing…. Almost anything outdoors!
