Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from MacEwan University. Ruth currently works as a Child and Youth Care Worker, where she supports children and adolescents in high-risk and residential care settings. Her role involves building therapeutic relationships, implementing trauma-informed interventions, supporting emotional and behavioural needs, and advocating for the well-being of the youth in her care. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to fostering resilience, promoting mental wellness, and creating safe, supportive environments for young people.
Ruth plans to continue advancing her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in counselling, with the goal of becoming a counsellor who empowers individuals and families through compassionate, culturally responsive, and strengths-based support.
