About Rob

How Did You Get Into Health & Wellness: Rob first entered the health and wellness field as a personal trainer. He enjoyed helping people exercise and improve their health, while also keeping himself active after playing sports in his younger years. Over time, Rob developed an interest in helping people get out of pain and coaching proper exercise techniques to reduce the chances of injury. When COVID-19 began and gyms were closed, he decided to return to school and pursue a career as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). This decision proved to be a great one, as Rob now has more tools to help people relieve pain and return to their exercise routines. What Does Wellness Mean to Rob: For Rob, wellness is about finding balance between health, work, personal responsibilities, and fun. If one area is given too much focus, the others will suffer, leading to a decline in overall wellness. Although it can be difficult to maintain balance, Rob believes the key factors in maintaining his wellness are family time, exercise, and healthy eating. By prioritizing these aspects, Rob finds that both his body and mind feel healthy and happy. Additionally, surrounding himself with others who share his values plays a significant role in staying on track with his wellness journey. What to Expect in a Treatment: Rob begins each treatment with a brief intake to understand the client's goals for the session. The more collaboration there is during the treatment, the better the results will be. Since everyone has different preferences, Rob ensures that both client and therapist are on the same page before starting. His treatment style focuses on reducing muscle tension and relieving pain. Rob typically applies medium to firm pressure, but always checks with his clients about their preferences before starting. He also takes the time to educate clients on the areas he's working on and how to manage any muscle pain moving forward. How You Will Feel After Treatment: After the treatment, clients can expect to feel relieved of muscle pain, refreshed, and relaxed.
