About Renee

Drawing on extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in a hospital-based mental health crisis setting, I am comfortable helping clients navigate anxiety, overwhelming emotions, family conflict, self-esteem, identity, and major life transitions. I have a special interest in working with teens and young adults, as well as new and expecting parents adjusting to pregnancy, postpartum, shifting relationships, and the transition to parenthood. As a parent myself, I understand how profoundly this transition can affect your identity, relationships, and your emotional well-being. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in attachment-based, emotion-focused, and DBT-informed therapies, with elements of person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed practice. Together, we may explore relationship patterns and underlying emotions, strengthen communication and boundaries, or develop practical skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I bring empathy, authenticity, curiosity, and gentle challenge to our sessions, along with humour when it feels natural. Whether you need space for deeper exploration or concrete strategies for difficult moments, I will tailor therapy to your needs and work alongside you at a pace that feels safe and genuine.
