About Rachael
I understand the vulnerability of attending counselling and strive to create a safe space where clients can share their thoughts, inner dialogue, and therapy goals. My approach is collaborative and growth-oriented, supporting clients as they strengthen their sense of self and move toward greater self-acceptance. I work with individuals, relationships, and families in a safe and supportive environment, and see a diverse range of clients who struggle with anxiety and depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, cultural expectations, and relationships. With previous experience in business leadership, I welcome clients navigating themes of professional burnout, work/life balance, career identity explorations, and interpersonal challenges.
I am a person of colour and work with clients in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens and work collaboratively on gaining insights, healing, and creating a more fulfilling life. I like to bring a bit of humour into sessions when it feels right — it can help lighten the mood, make things feel more human, and reminds clients that it’s okay to laugh, even while working through tough stuff.
