With over a decade of experience in the therapy field, she has worked extensively in behavioural therapy, creative arts therapy, counselling, and crisis intervention with individuals across the lifespan—including children, adults, and families. Monika is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (C.C.C.) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She is well-versed in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Her work is rooted in mental health best practices, and she brings a deep understanding of both theory and real-world application to her sessions. Her therapeutic style is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a results-driven mindset. Monika believes that effective therapy is both client-focused and collaborative, and she places great importance on creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to grow and heal. Practicing from a trauma-informed lens, Monika uses a client-centered approach to guide treatment planning.
