As one of the first physiotherapists in Canada to also become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she is passionate about mentoring other physiotherapists in this area, helping them expand their skills and knowledge. Mercedes is also the author of a textbook chapter on the role of physiotherapy in breastfeeding support.
