About Mayumi

Mayumi is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist. She graduated with honours from the Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program at Humber Polytechnic, where she completed extensive hands-on clinical training. Previously, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Phonoaudiology and received certification in Acupuncture and Electro-acupuncture in Brazil. She also gained several years of experience working in her family-run Acupuncture and Physiotherapy clinic in Brazil. Her goal is to help patients restore balance, relieve physical and mental discomfort, and improve overall well-being through acupuncture—including auricular, intradermal, and electro-acupuncture—moxibustion, and acupressure/tuina. By integrating these modalities, she creates individualized treatment plans for each patient’s unique constitution and health goals to support recovery and maintain harmony. Musculoskeletal pain, Insomnia, Headache, Bell's Palsy, PMS, Menstrual issues, Digestion problems, TMJ, Stress and Anxiety, are some of the conditions that she can help.
