My name is Mariel, and I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since April 2023. I completed my Massage Therapy program at Vancouver Career College in January 2023 and am the proud owner of TRNSCND Healing Wellness.
During my training, I completed outreach placements at an assisted living residence for seniors and at SFU Sports Medicine, where I worked with university athletes. These experiences helped me develop a strong passion for relaxation/Swedish massage and sports massage therapy.
I enjoy working with a diverse range of patients and believe that every body has unique needs that should be treated individually. I find it incredibly rewarding to help others feel better and improve their overall well-being. In my practice, I use a variety of techniques tailored to each patient’s needs, including Swedish/relaxation massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques, and joint mobilization, to name a few.
I take pride in continuing my education to stay current and provide the best possible care to help clients achieve their wellness goals. I have received certifications in Hot and Cold Stone Massage Therapy, Pregnancy Massage Therapy, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction and Fascial Stretch Therapy, all of which I actively incorporate into my practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy going for long walks outdoors, paddle boarding, and traveling. I also love watching the Vancouver Canucks with my husband, going on adventures with our dogs, and spending quality time with family and friends.
