About Lindsey

Please Note: Lindsey is now working primarily in our home care physiotherapy service. She is not accepting new clients for in-clinic care. If you are a former client, please call the front desk at 902-453-1525 to get connected with the in-clinic physio that is best suited to your needs! A British, UK-trained physiotherapist, Lindsey originally graduated in 1996 and has worked in a number of disciplines (cardiorespiratory, neurology, musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, older persons’ acute care and rehabilitation, and home care for patients following hip and knee replacements). She chose to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a particular interest in sports injuries and orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She completed her MSc in Sports physiotherapy in 2009. During 10 years of working with the military, she worked as a member of a Military Regional Rehabilitation Centre, managing and rehabilitating complex cases. In addition, she has practiced in many private clinics but has, also, worked extensively in sport for many years (including rugby, soccer, triathlon, U16/U18 England Hockey, U17 England Cricket), and provided medical coverage at multi-sport events for both School and University-aged athletes. Travel has taken her to Europe, both with Military sports teams and the England U18 Hockey team, and more recently with Team GB to China for the World University Games. She worked in the Middle East for several years, treating the local population of all ages, athletes, orthopaedic patients and Military personnel and their families. Locally, she recently worked at Dalhousie University, helping the School of Physiotherapy with their physiotherapy research. She has always been very dedicated to furthering her Professional Development through post-graduate study and post-graduate courses include: advanced trauma management, shoulder rehabilitation, taping, kinesiotaping, massage, muscle energy techniques, whiplash injury, biomechanics, exertional lower limb pain, kinetic control, sacroiliac joint, McKenzie approach, therapeutic exercise, trigger points and several pain courses. She remains a firm believer in giving individuals all the tools needed for helping themselves to improve and rehabilitate to maximise their potential, as part of their physiotherapy experience.
