Lindi Setiloane is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She provides evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families and has a broad range of experience working with issues such as, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, parenting challenges, behavioural problems, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Lindi offers strength-based therapy to those who are having difficulty expressing and/or managing emotions, experiencing adjustment issues, struggling with self-esteem, identity issues, impaired functioning, and lack of purpose or meaning in life. She counsels from a culturally sensitive perspective and has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds. Based on the understanding that everyone has unique strengths and needs, Lindi tailors her therapeutic interventions accordingly. Clients are equipped with strategies to improve their well-being, enhance resilience, and increase their overall happiness.
With families and couples, Lindi blends an attachment-based and a family systems perspective. She has led various parenting groups and has taught parents healthier and more effective ways to discipline children with complex behavioural issues and challenging communication patterns. With couples, she guides them in conflict management and enhances their communication skills. Lindi facilitates deeper intimacy between couples by delving into issues such as trust, fear of abandonment or rejection, and unresolved childhood wounds.
