Laura Steel is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Certified Canadian Counsellor. Laura holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. Laura has over 10 years of experience working with children, youth, adults and families. Throughout those years, Laura has supported individuals, couples, and families to navigate difficult situations, gain support and heal from past trauma. Laura’s past experience has supported people who deal with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, trauma, stress, familial conflict, grief, relationship issues, identity, sexuality and behavioural concerns. Laura utilizes an attachment based and trauma informed lens during therapy in collaboration with a variety of other therapeutic modalities. In session, Laura incorporated Narrative therapy, EMDR, Solution-focused, somatic, and system-based approaches into therapy. Laura has completed training in Gottman Method of Couples therapy (level 1 and 2). Laura is accepting clients of all ages and is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming.
