I’m Laura, an RMT who took the scenic route to the career I truly love. Along the way I’ve juggled motherhood, hands-on work in construction, a penchant for crafts/hobbies that cause back-ache, bodybuilding/CrossFit seasons, and my own extensive injuries and autoimmune pain. That mix means I don’t just “get” pain, I respect how it affects life, work, and family, and I meet you with empathy and realism.
My approach is collaborative and curious: I look beyond the symptoms to why it’s happening and what steps we can make to change it. Your movement habits, stress load, time availability, lifestyle, and recovery capacity all factor into the plan we develop.
As symptoms indicate, I'll introduce methodologies into the general Swedish Massage such as deep tissue Muscle Stripping, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, joint mobilizations, and active release techniques.
If you enjoy understanding your body I’ll happily walk you through what I’m finding and why it matters: knowledge is power, and I love sharing it. And, depending on the curiosity level, I’ll gladly “geek out” and explain the specifics of what I’m finding—the muscle attachments, Trigger Point referral patterns, cause vs. effect, etc. If you’d rather relax quietly, that’s great too; your preferences guide the session.
Every treatment I do is tailored to your goals, preferences, and how your body presents that day. Your comfort and decisions lead the way.
