Khushi is entering her third year at the University of Alberta, where she is completing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology. Through her studies, she has developed a strong academic foundation in human behaviour, mental health, cognition, and research, while growing an increasing interest in the intersection between psychology and medicine. Passionate about both mental health advocacy and patient care, Khushi hopes to pursue a future career in medicine where she can combine scientific knowledge with compassionate, person-centred care.
Alongside her academic studies, Khushi has gained valuable clinical experience working as a urology assistant at the University of Alberta Hospital. Through this role, she has strengthened her professionalism, communication skills, and understanding of healthcare environments while working closely within patient-centred clinical settings. Her hands-on experience has further deepened her appreciation for the importance of empathy, collaboration, and holistic care within medicine and psychology.
Through both her academic and practical experiences, Khushi has become increasingly interested in the broad and evolving field of psychology, particularly in geriatric care and aging populations. She is passionate about understanding the psychological, social, and healthcare-related challenges faced by older adults, as well as the stigmas that continue to surround aging in current and future generations. With a strong commitment to lifelong learning and helping others, Khushi is excited to continue growing both personally and professionally and looks forward to the opportunities the future holds.
