About Kelsey

Kelsey is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Kelsey’s professional background is diverse and enriched with mental health experience. Prior to embarking on her counselling career, she spent numerous years working in the medical field as a registered psychiatric nurse. This hands-on experience provided her with a profound understanding of the human condition, particularly in the context of mental health. Later, Kelsey pursued her Masters at Yorkville University, enhancing her expertise in counselling. Kelsey’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a holistic framework, drawing from her multifaceted background in medical health and nursing. Her ability to integrate these perspectives allows her to offer a comprehensive approach to healing and personal growth. Throughout her career, Kelsey has worked with individuals of all ages, diverse backgrounds, and abilities. Her diverse clientele has included people at various life stages, from adolescents (13+) to seniors, all facing a wide range of challenges. Kelsey has a special interest in helping individuals and couples navigate issues related to trauma (including relational and generational trauma), abuse, and complex mental health concerns. Kelsey welcomes clients over the age of 13 and is particularly skilled in addressing barriers such as anxiety, depression, substance misuse, parenting and relationship challenges, as well as personal and work-related stress. Her compassionate and empathetic approach allows clients to feel valued and understood as they journey towards personal healing and growth. Outside of her professional life, Kelsey enjoys the joys of parenthood, raising her small children and enjoying the serenity of life on a small acreage in Oliver. This enriching personal life serves as a source of inspiration and balance for her, further reinforcing her dedication to helping others find their own balance and well-being.
