About Jerry
Jerry Yan is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and Practicing Kinesiologist who takes a collaborative, patient-centred approach to care. He believes in working with each patient to understand their concerns, goals, and lifestyle, and developing treatment strategies that are tailored to their individual needs.
Jerry incorporates a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, neuromuscular techniques, and trigger point therapy. His background in kinesiology allows him to consider both the hands-on treatment and the broader movement and physical factors that may be contributing to a patient’s concerns.
Outside of work, Jerry has always been passionate about sports and movement. He grew up playing competitive volleyball, including at the collegiate level, and also practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As someone who is currently navigating his own rehabilitation from major surgeries, he understands firsthand the challenges that can come with injury and recovery.
