About Heather

I am a registered Social Worker (NLCSW) offering individual therapy to young adults and adults. I hold Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work, along with a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Criminology from Memorial University. For more than 20 years, I have worked in the helping profession, supporting people through a wide range of life experiences and challenges. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, stress, boundaries, sexuality, identity, parenting, emotional overwhelm, grief, loss, and life transitions. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is flexible and collaborative. I draw from Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Harm Reduction, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I also have additional training in sexual health, sexual dysfunction, the new monogamy, and navigating infidelity. Together, we’ll find the approaches that feel most helpful and relevant to you. I am committed to providing a 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive and culturally affirming practice. I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and practical tools while we co-create a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you, strengthen your connection with yourself, and create change that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned with your life.
