About Harneet

Harneet is a Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who leads with compassion and warmth, bringing a person-centred approach to everything she does. She believes deeply that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in healing, and she is intentional about creating a space that is nurturing and genuinely collaborative. With a BA in Psychology, a Master of Industrial Relations, and a Master of Counselling Psychology, Harneet has spent her career honing the art of understanding human behaviour. Her background working in Human Resources gave her first-hand insight into the very real weight of workplace stress and burnout - and that experience informs the depth of understanding she brings into the therapy room. Harneet works collaboratively with clients to co-create treatment plans that are both evidence-based and deeply personal. Drawing on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as her foundation, she integrates techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and solution-focused approaches to support clients in setting meaningful, measurable goals and tracking real-time progress. She brings strengths-based and trauma-informed lenses to her work with clients navigating emotional regulation, relational dynamics, life transitions, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, ASD, and other mental health challenges. Her own upbringing within a South Asian, collectivist culture has given her a unique perspective and shared understanding of what it means to navigate spaces where mental health is often left unspoken - shaping her commitment to approaching every client with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and grace. Outside of the therapy room, you can find Harneet on a volleyball court, on stage doing improv, attending a concert, or soaking up a good book in the sun. Just as she does in her therapeutic practice, Harneet values the mind-body connection - honouring it through hot yoga and strength training.
