About Emma
Emma has completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Adler University. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
Emma is deeply committed to building authentic and collaborative relationships with clients. Her work is largely informed by Person-Centered Therapy which is grounded in authentic, accepting, and empathic therapeutic engagement. Emma tailors her approach to meeting clients’ specific needs and enjoys incorporating expressive arts therapies, mindfulness, and somatic practices into therapy sessions. Her training in multicultural counselling and social justice has also informed her passion for providing inclusive, safe, and individualized care for clients of all backgrounds. She believes that clients are the experts of their own experiences and takes a stance of informed curiosity to provide socially responsible services.
Prior to her graduate studies, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus. Through a practicum opportunity, she was also able to work at The Lab of Meditation where she had an opportunity to develop trauma-informed mindfulness skills. Emma enjoys working with clients of all ages, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Outside of counselling, Emma enjoys spending time in nature, going on adventures with her cat, doing yoga, and getting creative.
