About Ella

Ella Wang is a bilingual Mandarin-speaking therapist who immigrated to Canada at a young age and brings a deep understanding of adversity, family dynamics, and cultural differences into her work. Drawing from both personal lived experience and professional training, she takes a person-centred approach to therapy, believing there are no “cookie-cutter” solutions. She is a firm believer that every person deserves love, compassion, and dignity as they move through this beautiful, messy, and complex journey called life, and that we all share a fundamental need to feel seen, heard, and cared for. With a background as a financial advisor, strategic advisor, and people manager, Ella was consistently drawn to the human side of her work, building trust through attentive listening, thoughtful guidance, and tailored strategies. These experiences also shaped her belief in maintaining a healthy tension between striving for growth and knowing when to slow down.Ella’s philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that we all move through shared themes of life — uncertainty, relational challenges, loneliness, and the search for meaning — and that no one has to navigate these experiences alone. She believes that the strengths and wisdom needed for growth already exist within each person, and therapy is a space to reconnect with them. Her work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and parts-based approaches, supporting clients in meeting their core sense of self while compassionately exploring the different parts of themselves. Through this process, clients are supported in developing clarity, self-understanding, and a greater sense of self-empowerment. What Ella finds most rewarding is witnessing clients deepen their relationship with themselves and move forward in ways that feel more aligned, intentional, and authentic.Outside of the therapy room, Ella enjoys lifting, going for walks with a coffee or a friend, watching documentaries, writing, and cooking.
