About Chelsea

Chelsea completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2021, and her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. Since then, she has received certification for Level 2 Upper Quadrant, Level 2 Lower Quadrant, and Level 3 Lower Quadrant from National Orthopedic Division's Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal manual therapy program. In addition to her manual therapy skills, she has also been certified and rostered in the province to perform IMS/Dry needling through completing the Anatomical Neuropathic Intramuscular Stimulation (AN-IMS) course offered by Foundations Health Education. Chelsea also takes a special interest in pelvic floor care and has taken courses from Pelvic Health Solutions and Pelvic Rehab Courses pertaining to incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic floor pain from a trauma informed lens. Through her experience and education, Chelsea appreciates how the musculoskeletal system and nervous system adaptively work together to optimize our daily function and believes that helping everyone to understand how their bodies work will provide them peace of mind. Ultimately, she will work with you to the best of her abilities to ensure that you are moving better and moving pain-free through a combination of prescriptive exercise, manual therapy, and most importantly education around movement and symptom management. Chelsea has had experience working with people of all ages and with rehabilitating overuse injuries, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, chronic lower back pain, MVA associated injuries, post-operative/total joint replacements, neuromuscular conditions, and pelvic floor dysfunction in a variety of contexts. She is adamant in ensuring that her clients receive evidence-based and innovative treatments that are in their best interests. When Chelsea isn’t in the clinic, she is a very passionate food and coffee enthusiast; she is always open to giving and receiving recommendations in the Lower Mainland! To balance out her food adventures, she keeps active by lifting weights at the gym, kickboxing, playing golf, pickleball, and tennis.
