Ben Cabaret, DOMP (France)
Osteopathic Manual Therapist & Owner
While studying kinesiology at the Université de Grenoble, Ben discovered Osteopathic Manual Therapy. And after suffering severe knee injuries, Ben experienced first-hand the positive impact that Osteopathic Manual Therapy could have on the recovery process. It was at this point in time that Ben decided to dedicate his career to helping people through osteopathy.
In 2011, Ben graduated from the five-year osteopathic manual therapy program at the Institut de Formation en Ostéopathie du Grand Avignon, in France. This program is registered at the highest level with the National Directory of Professional Certifications; the top professional certification in France.
Ben is trained in structural, functional, visceral, craniosacral, Jones (strain-counterstrain), Mitchell (muscular), GOT and pediatric osteopathic treatments. Ben is also a firm believer in life-long learning and is currently completing a Neuromeningeal Manipulation program, which focuses on treatment of the nervous system.
In addition to Ben’s formal training and professional work experience, he is currently the Vice-President of the Alberta Association of Osteopathic Manual Therapists. Ben has also had the opportunity to work with professional rugby and volleyball teams, as well as volunteer with the LPGA CP Women's Open.
Ben firmly believes in the overall management of a patient’s health and not just their symptoms. Ben prides himself in being an attentive and caring healthcare provider, who focuses on understanding each individual’s unique needs.
Outside of the clinic, Ben enjoys skiing, golfing, catching a game (especially hockey now that he lives in Canada), as well as spending time with his family and friends.
