About Andrew

Andrew has spent his working life specializing in customer service and successfully taking on a succession of management roles. Before deciding to become a massage therapist, Andrew worked in a wide range of jobs that allowed him to focus on providing an exceptional customer experience. He was consistently able to place himself in his customers’ shoes and discover their individual needs. From coffee shops to food service to working at a marina out west, Andrew was able to adapt to each new environment and to hone his communication and management skills. With his natural ability to build rapport with individuals, Andrew knew that he wanted a long-term career that revolved around helping people. Once enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College, Andrew instantly knew that massage was his calling: a career with a hands-on and client-focused approach, that has an impact on people’s well-being, functional living, and general health, was an ideal fit. Andrew brings with him 13 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. He incorporates Swedish massage, deep tissue manipulation, myofascial release, relaxation techniques, and trigger point therapy to treat a variety of conditions including acute and chronic injuries, repetitive strain injuries, and scar tissue. His treatments can help pinpoint elusive sources of pain and can help the body to function more efficiently and with greater comfort, which can improve performance and recovery time for chronic conditions and for athletes in training. Since graduating with honours from Algonquin College and becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Andrew has had experience working in physiotherapy, spa, and multi-practitioner environments, providing him with well-rounded assessment and treatment skills. When not massaging, Andrew enjoys cooking and baking, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
