About Andrew
Reaching out for support isn't easy. It’s even harder if addiction is in the mix. Whatever has brought you here, my goal is to make things feel less overwhelming and more manageable.
Sessions with me tend to feel collaborative and unhurried. My role isn't to hand down answers; it's to think alongside you as we figure out what's next. I bring curiosity rather than judgment, and I pay close attention to what's already working in your life, not just what feels broken. Over time, that usually means we're able to bring more shape and understanding to feelings or patterns that have felt confusing or stuck.
I can't promise a specific result, but I can promise steady, genuine engagement with whatever you bring into the room.
###Hi, I'm Andrew...
Before pivoting into the mental health field, I spent years working as a teacher. Helping people take something perplexing and making it understandable is one of my specialties.
My path into this field is a personal one. I grappled with addiction for a long time, and what ultimately changed my trajectory was connecting with people who had walked a similar road themselves. Their presence, more than anything they taught me, was what convinced me that change was possible. That experience is a large part of why I'm doing this work now.
I've spent the past few years facilitating groups and providing individual support within addiction treatment settings. I've seen recovery and change unfold in a lot of different forms and paces, and I’m comfortable sitting with people at very different points in a difficult process.
I'm drawn to humanistic and ecosystems thinking because I believe in looking at the fuller picture of your life, your relationships, and the environments you move through, and I trust that you already hold real insight into what's going on for you. In other words, I think people make the most sense in context, and you're the one who understands your context best.
If you're dealing with addiction, working through a major transition, or just going through a hard season and want some company, I'd be glad to talk. I look forward to connecting :)
