About Ainslie

It is my passion to work with children and support them to become confident and successful communicators. I recognize the importance of working closely with families to provide the best possible treatment outcomes. My approach to therapy is supporting children where they are and building upon their skills. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I have worked in public schools for over 14 years. I have diverse experience working with children with a variety of speech and language disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. I enjoy supporting children who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and have experience with Go Talk Now, TouchChat, Proloquo2go, LAMP, and Snap plus Core First. I strive to build on the strengths of the child in a fun and positive environment, leading to improved communication and social connections with others.
