About Tanya

Tanya has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 1998 and spent the past 24 years teaching massage therapy in Ottawa. Through decades of clinical practice and education, she has developed extensive expertise in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and a deep understanding of the lymphatic system, including its anatomy, physiology, and the treatment of injuries and pathologies that affect this vital drainage network. Tanya also has advanced knowledge of scar tissue formation and the ways scars can restrict movement and impact overall function. She incorporates a variety of hydrotherapy techniques, including paraffin wax treatments and body wraps, to help reduce scar tissue, edema, and swelling. Supporting patients through recovery is a central focus of Tanya’s practice. She works with individuals experiencing edema, lymphedema, and post-surgical swelling, using Manual Lymph Drainage techniques to help reduce excess fluid accumulation by following the body’s natural lymphatic pathways. Tanya has also treated patients with both acute and chronic edema, as well as scar tissue restrictions, helping to improve mobility, decrease discomfort, and restore function. Her goal is always to help patients return to their pre-injury or pre-condition level of daily activity, function, and quality of life.
