“I received excellent care from Dr. Young (surgeon) and Vatsal Shah (physiotherapist) for my badly broken elbow. On Christmas Eve, I fell on an icy trail and according to the attending physician in the ER, I broke my elbow "spectacularly." A few days later I had surgery to have my radial head replaced, a plate attached to my olecranon and a ligament repaired. The surgery went really well and I started physio a couple weeks after, as soon as I was able to have the cast removed. The main goal was to restore as much range of motion in my elbow as possible. Progress was slow for the first couple of months as I had to restrict certain movements while the damaged ligament healed. After that, things improved more quickly through Vatsal's gentle "torture sessions" to break through scar tissue and help me gain more extension. He used a combination of stretching, muscle stim, acupuncture and cupping. Now, in month 6 I'm focusing more on building up strength. When Dr. Young and Vatsal told me the recovery would take about 6 months, I didn't really believe it. But it did take that long, and though at a couple of moments I felt I'd reached a plateau, I’m glad I stuck with the program. The result is that my elbow is fully functional - as well or even better than expected. Long story short: great clinic with great staff. I highly recommend.”Read moreShow less

“Vatsal is a magician! At 69, the chances of recovery for my shoulder were limited. A rotator cuff injury caused limited movement and no means to lift anything with my left arm. “I’ve been seeing Vatsal for the past 7 months to help with my rehab after posterior labrum repair surgery on my shoulder. The sessions were tough but exactly what I needed to regain my mobility and strength so I could get back to normal life as quickly as possible. As a father and first responder, it was critical for me to work with someone who took my recovery as seriously as I did. Vatsel absolutely did. He was fully invested in my progress the entire time always taking the time to answer my questions, carefully listening to how I was feeling, and adjusting the program based on what was improving and what still needed more work. “Three months post-op from surgery to repair a ruptured bicep tendon, along with radial nerve palsy from the surgery, my surgeon referred me to this clinic. I’ve had a fantastic experience here, especially with Danijel, my physiotherapist, who has been knowledgeable, professional, and very supportive throughout my recovery.
