About Liam

#ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS Liam is dedicated to providing a client-centred therapeutic experience where individuals feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. He believes that every person brings unique lived experiences that shape their perspective and strengths. By recognizing clients as the experts in their own lives, Liam works collaboratively to help them develop greater self-awareness, overcome challenges, and move toward meaningful personal growth and self-actualization. Liam holds a Master of Counselling degree from City University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alberta. He is committed to creating a therapeutic environment built on trust, safety, and authenticity. His warm, empathetic approach is complemented by humour when appropriate, helping clients feel comfortable as they explore difficult emotions and life experiences. Liam works with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns and has a particular interest in supporting clients with anxiety, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and men's mental health. He understands that each person's journey is unique and tailors treatment to meet clients where they are, fostering resilience and lasting change. His therapeutic approach is integrative and grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a focus on identifying and addressing the core beliefs that may contribute to emotional distress. Liam also incorporates techniques from Narrative Therapy and Existential Therapy to create an individualized treatment plan that reflects each client's needs and goals. When working with couples, he draws on his training in the Gottman Method to help partners strengthen communication, deepen connection, and build healthier relationships.
