About Dylan
Dylan’s approach to massage is all about helping you find that place of balance and vitality. He brings a unique mix of analysis and intuition to every treatment, whether you are recovering from a sports or workplace injury, dealing with chronic tension, or trying to find a moment of tranquility in your busy day.
His connection to bodywork started as a youth drawn to physical activity - often found playing sports, practising martial arts, or roaming the forests around his childhood home. Growing up he dove into cycling and mechanics, and would go on to spend years working in bike shops and weaving through the traffic of Canada’s busiest cities as a courier. He came to live in Nova Scotia to get back to the more gentle pace of the natural world, and would spend nearly a decade in the Acadian forest of Southwest Nova, living a life focused on sustainable self-reliance in harmony with the world around him. Whether working on thoughtful woodlot management, tending a garden of tasty plants and herbal medicinals, or fixing up the old pickup, Dylan was always sure to find the flow in the moment.
It was years of hands-on physical work that turned his attention to massage. Repetitive tasks and a buildup of minor injuries in the woods left him with pain in the elbow that just wouldn’t quit. Eventually, it was a massage therapist who was able to address his issue and set him on the path towards recovery, and this experience sparked a desire to learn how to do the same for others.
In his treatments, Dylan blends the analysis and precision of a mechanic with the intuitive touch of a patient gardener. Using techniques including myofascial release, deep tissue massage, and a range of mobilizations for muscles and joints, he will work with you to craft a plan that gets you the results you are looking for.
