About Ceara

Dr. Ceara Higgins graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). She also holds a certificate in Acupuncture and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Acadia University where she specialized in health and wellness and physical activity for individuals with special needs. Dr. Ceara is also trained as a labour support provider. Dr. Ceara completed a year-long internship through CMCC at the Muki Baum Childrens’ Centre where she was responsible for performing musculoskeletal evaluations, preparing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and providing chiropractic treatment to children with special needs. She has a particular interest in prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric care. Dr. Ceara is trained in a variety of adjustment techniques and is committed to continually updating her knowledge and gaining new skills in chiropractic. She is also a certified pre and post natal pelvic floor trainer through Bellies Inc. She strives to provide excellent care to suit her patient’s individual needs. Dr. Ceara has a wellness focus and evaluates patient’s overall health and well being in order to provide treatment to help her patients work toward their optimal health.

“Life changing, that’s all I can say. I had such bad back pain (from a car accident and from doing way too many crunches that didn’t even produce a six pack!); it got to the point where I couldn’t sit - I’d have to lay down on my stomach to work on my laptop. I tried physio and other chiros with little relief. My doc told me chronic back pain is just part of getting older; one physio told me I may have a cyst that’s causing the pain. Basically, they couldn’t figure it out. I went to see Ceara on the recommendation of my partner. Ceara calmly assessed me and worked on my lower body gently - like she knew exactly what was going on with my body, and fixing it was no big deal. I went home telling my partner she didn’t do much and it’s not going to help. Over the next couple days though the pain was gone - I was playing dodgeball (dodging, ducking, diving, dipping, and dodging 😂), softball, and working out within a week! I’ve since been going back to Ceara for adjustments and whenever I have a flare-up from doing something stupid for 10 years now. I make the drive into Toronto (1.5 hours!) just for a 30min appt with her. She’s super knowledgeable and will fix you right up; I’ve recommended her to many. Nicole is also great 🙂. Definitely the best chiro spot in the city/the GTA.”
