About Chidi

#ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS Chidi is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a deep passion for supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, particularly those navigating trauma within the context of culture, identity, and systemic challenges. She specializes in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and communities, striving to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, inclusive, and grounded in respect. She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Allison University. Her approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, drawing on evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MB-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Chidi tailors each session to reflect her clients’ lived experiences, cultural values, and personal goals, working collaboratively to explore the emotional, psychological, and social impacts of trauma—whether personal, historical, or systemic. Chidi believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all. She understands that trauma manifests differently for each person and honours this by co-creating a therapeutic space where clients feel deeply seen and heard. Her style is warm, direct, and compassionate, and she values the power of humour, connection, and collaboration as essential parts of the healing process. Whether her clients are coping with anxiety, intergenerational trauma, grief, identity-related stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, Chidi is dedicated to walking alongside them. She offers guidance and practical tools to help individuals reconnect with their resilience, cultivate inner peace, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
