I work with children and adults in individual therapy, supporting people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and the effects of trauma. My experience includes working with veterans, first responders, survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse, and individuals impacted by violence and other crimes, as well as children and teens navigating complex emotional and behavioural challenges. I believe healing begins by meeting people where they are and working together at a pace that feels safe and manageable. As a clinical social worker, I am passionate about helping individuals build the skills, insight, and support systems needed to cope with distress and regain a sense of stability and control. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, and collaborative, focusing on reducing symptoms, strengthening coping strategies, and supporting long-term resilience. I am committed to providing affirming and inclusive care and welcome individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, safe, and validated in their identities and lived experiences. I am mindful of the ways that discrimination, stigma, and systemic barriers can affect mental health and work with sensitivity and care to support each individual’s wellbeing. Cultural competence is an important part of my practice, and I remain committed to ongoing learning and best practices when supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities. I aim to offer a space that is non-judgmental, respectful, and grounded in trust, particularly for those who have experienced significant trauma. I also work closely with victims and survivors of domestic abuse, prioritizing safety, empowerment, and recovery. No one is meant to face life’s challenges alone.
