Aesha is a Provisional Psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. She believes that healing is a unique and ongoing journey and strives to create a safe, collaborative, and culturally responsive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Aesha holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and has completed the academic and supervised training required for registration as a Provisional Psychologist. Her education has provided her with a strong foundation in psychological assessment, ethical practice, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem challenges, and emotional regulation.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, client-centred, and tailored to each individual’s experiences, strengths, and goals. Aesha integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-informed interventions. She has a particular interest in fostering resilience, developing practical coping strategies, and supporting clients in building greater emotional wellbeing and confidence.
Aesha values cultural humility, inclusivity, and the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship in creating meaningful change. She is committed to providing a welcoming and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward a more fulfilling life. As a Provisional Psychologist, she practises under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist and remains committed to ongoing professional development and providing ethical, effective, and compassionate care.
Provisional Psychologist Billing and Insurance Reimbursement
Please note that provisional psychologists are not eligible to provide direct billing through TELUS eClaims insurance providers. Clients receiving services from a provisional psychologist will be responsible for payment at the time of service.
Following payment, clients are encouraged to submit their invoice and receipt directly to their insurance provider for reimbursement, in accordance with their individual extended health benefits plan. Coverage and reimbursement amounts are determined solely by the client’s insurance provider, and Nova Psychology cannot guarantee eligibility or reimbursement.
Clients are encouraged to confirm their coverage requirements with their insurance provider prior to beginning services.
