“Charmaine is very pleasant and accommodating. She asks questions and explains everything to help you better understand the symptoms you're experiencing and informs you of the best manoeuvres to assist you.”

“It has been a very positive experience. First, Elizabeth really listens. Second, she explains things very well. Third, I appreciate her attention to detail. Fourth, she is skilled at keeping you motivated but also realistic about your expectations. I am slowly making some progress with my balance and that is hopeful.”Read moreShow less

“I want to give a big shoutout to Shaleen for her amazing work and expertise. She addressed the challenges I was facing to with the PPPD (as no one else did) after the rehab I started feeling better. Highly recommended!”

“Charmaine This review isn’t my normal review about poor service, cold food or just a bad experience, ITS ABOUT LIFE, MY LIFE❗️ I was rear ended by a DUMP TRUCK and fortunately I don’t remember a thing, NO sound, NO lights, NO people, NO anything. It has been a long road and I’ve gone from falling 2-3X a week to occasionally. I walk with a cane to keep my balance BUT IM WALKING. CHARMAINE was my VESTIBULAR PHYSIO THERAPIST⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She patiently listened, tested my limits and started me on my MICRO EXERCISE PLAN. I thought it was dumb, I didn’t think these baby steps would do anything. Well I’m happy to say I WAS WRONG Every couple of weeks she’d re asses my progress, figure out what worked and didn’t, then she altered the program with babby steps. My falls happened less and less. As CHARMAINE would say I’ve learned to “ NICE RECOVERY “ that means I’ve found other ways to stay upright. I should say we found CHARMAINE and I found. Yes I had to put in the sweat equity but it was her game plan. The facility was bright, clean and CHARMAINE was bright, cheerful and a good listener, oh and I almost forgot SHE KNOWS HER STUFF. Incase your wondering VESTIBULAR HEALTH has to do with tubes in your ear that effect your balance ( up / down, forward / back, left / right ) . My experience with CHARMAINE was exceptional. I have no problem recommending VESTIBULAR HEALTH and CHARMAINE - Thank Q so much ❤️❗️ d. GH”Read moreShow less

“I had two assessment appointments with Shaleen Sulway, PT at the TGH Vestibular Clinic. I had gone to two other specialists prior to booking a session with her. The professionalism in the testing and the diagnostic , the follow up and care by Shaleen Sulway with was by far superior. The added benefit is that she is part of the TGH medical team that is the best in the country. I would highly recommend Shaleen Sulway.”Read moreShow less

“*Warning for concussion patients with sensitivity to rapid movements* Parts of the vestibular/balance assessment includes testing where the patient's head is forced in jerky up/down sudden movements and side to side rapid movements, which can trigger symptoms significantly for concussion patients and has potential to set you back, as it can flare up the neck muscles. When I attended my intake appointment, I was upfront about my sensitivity to sudden movements and how I was receiving RMT therapy for my neck. I asked for modification of the assessment and Shaleen declined, telling me it was a gentle test and I believed her. She did not modify the assessment protocol at all, and I withdrew my consent almost immediately when she started performing the motions, but the damage was done. My neck muscles flared up and Shaleen undid all the previous progress my RMT had performed trying to get the neck muscles released. When I confronted Shaleen about this, her advice to me was to “get over my anxiety”. Concussion care (any health care!) needs to be done in a patient-centred and wholistic way - factoring in all the pieces of the patient - and deployed using a tailored approach that best meets their health needs. This was not done here. Not even close. I will never be going back to this clinic (and I’ve actually found a really great alternative clinic that provides the same vestibular services - one affiliated with Toronto Rehab Institute if anyone’s interested!).”Read moreShow less
