“Emily assessed my elderly Dad for the second time today to re-address concerns about his comfort and safely. On both visits, she was excellent- patient and kind. Dad was sleeping today but on her first, her wonderful sense of humour put my him (a dementia patient) at ease. She is clearly knowledgeable and is comfortable liaising with all those present during the assessments - from family members, to an invited professional from Embracor on the first visit (who provided support products), to staff caring for Dad at his LTC home. We are very fortunate to have found Emily and the Thrive OT clinic- whose staff made these assessments an easy and seamless process. Dad's family care deeply for him and, since his mobility is extremely limited, we are thankful that Emily has come to his "home" to give us direction about how to best meet his needs.”Read moreShow less

“Hillary Care was absolutely amazing providing Occupational Therapy to our son with autism. She did Therapeutic Listening that at the time made a huge difference to him. His appetite became moderated and stopped using a nappy in a few weeks. Also she explained core concepts on how to manage certain behaviours that I still use successfully! “Hillary was my son's occupational therapist for 10 sessions this year in London. We needed professional opinion and guidance in relation with his gross and fine motor skills and overall confidence. My son loved Hillary from the first moment as she was very engaging, kind, attentive and always had a great variety of new tasks to do. She advised me how I can contribute at home to his development and sent me so many different suggestions, recommendations to excel with it. We are very grateful we worked together. “Hilary is a brilliant OT. My daughter did a block of 6 sessions with her which she thoroughly enjoyed and gained a huge amount from. The sessions were fun, varied and engaging and gave us great ideas for activities we could do together at home to help her development. “We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Hillary in London, UK. She helped us understand my daughter's sensory profile as well as worked with us regarding toileting. She gave us advice and recommendations on what we can be doing to help my daughter at home as well as liaised with the nursery/preschool to advise them. She was the one that recommended Therapeutic listening- a tool that has been very helpful. Hillary was always so professional and thorough with her approach.
