“I felt so hopeful going into my consultation. It was very informative and I was given a SIBO test. I waited a few months to do it due to the postal strike. When we talked about my results I asked about getting an antibiotic and had multiple suggestions thrown at me… started with carnivore diet suggestion but by the end of the phone call was told to avoid all meat which left me confused. I was told I “seemed to have my own opinions”. Which rubbed me the wrong way when I was just asking questions about why diet changes on things that didn’t trigger me were necessary. Nonetheless I did the diet for 2 weeks and followed up 2 weeks later through email and was ghosted. Back to square one I guess, will be trying to find help elsewhere.”Read moreShow less

“Our first visit with Dr. Alexa at Nova Naturopathic Clinic was for our 5 year old daughter, and we left feeling so supported and hopeful. Our daughter was definitely an antsy kiddo that day and not exactly ready to sit through an appointment, lol, but Dr. Alexa was incredibly calm, patient, professional, and understanding through the whole visit. She was extremely informative and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns thoroughly. Honestly, she’s one of those people you feel like you could talk to for hours. Her experience as a mom also brought such a relatable and comforting aspect to the appointment that we really appreciated. We originally went in to address some digestion concerns that had unfortunately led to two ER visits, and for the first time in awhile, it genuinely felt like we had a path forward and practical tools to start working through things. My husband and I both agreed we’ll be booking appointments for ourselves as well. “Dr. Nurani has went above and beyond the level of care I have received from almost all practitioners. I have been suffering from a tension headache that hasn't let up in almost 2 years and have seen an entire dictionary's worth of doctors. No doctor has come close to what Dr. Nurani has done for me. Most doctors now feel like pill pushers who just put you on medications to get you hooked without even trying to get to the root of your condition. Not Dr. Nurani; instead of giving treatments and seeing if the treatment works by trial and error or simply reducing the symptoms, he took the time to find a treatment that addresses the underlying cause of my condition. I am truly amazed by his extensive knowledge of how different systems in our body interact and his genuine desire to help his patients feel better. He has done for me far more than what many doctors in our public healthcare system could ever hope to match.
