I transferred my chiropractic care to North Shore Wellness Centre because my previous chiropractor had failed to submit my ICBC treatment plan after approximately four months, despite multiple follow-ups. I specifically explained this to Dr. Dickson at my initial appointment because I did not want to experience another lengthy delay in my treatment. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again—only this time it was worse. Despite completing the requested paperwork months ago and following up with the clinic regularly over the next 5½ months, my treatment plan was still not submitted. During that time, I repeatedly contacted the clinic trying to find out what was causing the delay, but I never received an explanation. When my treatment plan was finally approved by ICBC, I received an email from Dr. Dickson the very next day advising that he would be away on vacation for a week during the approval period. As a result, although ICBC approved five treatments before July 31, I was only able to book two appointments. I attended my first appointment on July 21 expecting to finally begin treatment. Instead, the appointment became a discussion about whether I had completed the required questionnaire. I explained that I had completed it months earlier and had written confirmation from the office manager, Elvie, that it had been forwarded to Dr. Dickson. I even offered to forward the email again during the appointment. Dr. Dickson then told me that he believed I had gone somewhere else. I explained that I had been contacting the clinic regularly over the past several months asking why my treatment plan had not been submitted. After I questioned why it had taken approximately 5½ months to submit my treatment plan, Dr. Dickson said, "Maybe we shouldn't have a treatment today." No treatment was provided, and I left the clinic. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable receiving treatment from this provider. Administrative mistakes can happen, but what I found most disappointing was the lack of communication and accountability. I transferred to this clinic specifically to avoid another prolonged delay in submitting my treatment plan. Instead, the delay was even longer, I never received an explanation, and my first appointment after finally receiving approval ended without any treatment being provided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend North Shore Wellness Centre.

I was quickly given an apt with Dr. Stephanie. I was in Hosp with gut issues and she was able to call and help me right away. I needed help with my diet as I didn’t know how to heal my gut especially while being in the Hospital. With help from her and my family preparing the menus she suggested I am on the right track. She is very knowledgeable and concerned and will follow-up. She has a good vitamin protocol I feel really good taking. I am in good hands!

Highly recommend Andrew Lin! He is very knowledgeable, kind, and truly takes the time to understand your individual health concerns. I appreciate his expertise in the specialized areas I need help with and I felt supported and well cared for during my treatment. A wonderful practitioner and person. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a 60 minute massage therapy with Danielle Tabo at North Shore Wellness Centre today. She was excellent! It was my first appointment with her and she took the time to do a good initial assessment to identify the root cause of my tension and pain. Her massage treatment techniques are excellent, you can feel she goes for the underlying trigger points and exerts just the perfect amount of pressure to alleviate the pain and tension in the neck, shoulders and lower back. Danielle even recommended stretches and exercises I could do after the massage to help with treatment and recovery. Thorough and professional service. Highly recommended. As for the facilities at North Shore Wellness Centre, it’s clean and pleasant and the staff there are friendly and helpful.

Saw Brad Matthews for acupuncture today. Very thorough in questions and understanding my problem and pain. Very professional and caring in treatment. Facility is easy to get to, staff are friendly and efficient. Recommend.

Dani was incredibly thorough with her initial evaluation and really got to understand my injury well. Her treatment was incredibly beneficial to me, relieving sciatic pain down my left leg completely (still working on the right leg sciatica). She is very strong - be prepared to be sore for a few days! - but can adjust her pressure to your liking. I highly recommend Dani for back and leg pain.

I had acupuncture with Andrew yesterday and I was throughly impressed at his communication skills during my treatment. It felt good to have it explained to me so clearly what was going on in my body and what different points he was doing for acupuncture. I only wish other acupuncturists were as communicative and detailed. This is a great clinic with amazing practitioners.

Although I have had good experiences with the practitioners here, I 100% support Cristines comment. As someone who is close to her, it was extremely upsetting to have this service charge after her father’s burial when she flew home on an international flight. She gave as much notice as possible, yet the clinic failed to be compassionate. They have now asked her to take down her review in exchange for a free massage. It should be noted that repair can’t be made after treatment towards her last May. It’s truly unfortunate to see the lack of humanity and responsiveness from this clinic. You can’t buy her out now that she made her experience public. Hopefully this clinic learns to treat clients adequately with compassion in the future. I stand in solidarity with Cristine.

Came on time for my appointment at 5:00, the entire office was empty with no receptionist. I waited until 5:15 and the RMT came out and said he was cleaning the room. The interest in my needs completely declined once he realized I was only in town for a month and wouldn’t be a regular customer. I left being told to roll on a ball every morning and things might improve. Once I was dressed to leave at the elevator he told me he forgot to give me my heating pad. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, but this experience was genuinely distressing. I had just returned from my country of origin after burying my father. After a 12-hour flight going back to Canada, I became ill the night before my scheduled massage and called the clinic first thing in the morning to cancel. Despite being sick, grieving, and financially strained from funeral expenses, I was charged the full $130 no-show fee. I explained my situation multiple times — by phone, by email, and even in person after being asked to come into the office. I cried while explaining what I was going through on the phone, hoping for even a small amount of understanding. Nothing was resolved. No exception, no credit, no compassion — only repeated reference to policy. Being asked to come in gave me false hope that the issue would be handled humanely, but it was not. This experience left me feeling that this was a money-driven place rather than a client-centered wellness clinic. This was not just about money, but about how cold and dismissive the interaction felt during one of the most difficult times of my life. I left feeling unheard, and emotionally drained so I'm never going back to this place.
