About the clinic

IMPORTANT UPDATES We have made some important changes to the way we schedule our appointments. Please read carefully as this will impact the location or day you select for your treatment. APPOINTMENT DURATION: The scheduled duration of appointments has been increased to ensure students have enough time to practice all skills, including client interview and assessment, treatment, and recommendations for remedial exercise and home-care. Appointments are structured at different locations as follows: St. Elizabeth’s Village: 90 minute appointments include approximately 30 minutes of pre and post treatment protocols. DBARC (Fennell): 90 minute appointments include approximately 30 minutes of pre and post treatment protocols IAHS (McMaster): 45 minute appointments include approximately 15 minutes of pre and post treatment protocols. LIMITATIONS / RESTRICTIONS: This is a learning environment and students are expected to demonstrate gradual improvement in skills. Students are required to limit treatment to only what they have been taught and graded on in classes. Clients should book appointments that suit their needs according to the following information: Year Two Students: Specialize in relaxation massage with skill development throughout the term Primarily available at the DBARC clinic on Fennell campus. Will also be available at various off-site outreaches Year Three Students: Capable of handling more complex cases and medical history Primarily available at the St. Elizabeth’s Village clinic and the IAHS campus clinic.
