🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ Absolutely amazing! Mathieu has great energy, kindness and made me at ease the second I walked in. His technique is really wonderful and soothing. I’m happy I’ve found him and looking forward to my next massage! Keep up the great work, Mathieu!!

Total red flag with this service. I reserved my spot and I received an automated message with the building address and number. At the entrance the intercom was out of service so I was not able to ring, then at the entrance the security guard told me that I have to wait downstairs. I waited inside at the hall as I sent a message to the massotherapist announcing my arrival. It was already 15 minutes after the time of my appointment and no answer from him and he didnt come downstairs to see If I was there. Then the security guard told me that I had to wait outside. I was coming from the north of the city. It took me one hour to get to his place for nothing... and I even got a very rude reception! What a joke is this?! He texted me 2 hours after my appointment with the excuse that he was having technical issues with the cell phone... and since I never knocked his door he thought it was me who was cancelling... so yes... Was he expecting me to ring from an out of service bell... and ignore the security guard? Like hey... why dont you come down and check if your client is waiting for you... I had to wrote this story because it really ruined part of my day. Thank you,.

Matthieu is the BEST! I’ve been seeing Matthieu since his spa days, and I seriously can’t say enough good things about him. Every time I leave my session, I feel amazing—both in my body and in my energy. After being on mat leave and dealing with all those aches and pains, he worked out every knot. My husband loves his massages too, so we’re both hooked! Today, I tried the Thailand oil massage, and wow, it was next level—so relaxing and soothing. I feel like I’m floating! Also, the booking system is SO easy now. I love the text and email reminders—super helpful, especially with a busy schedule. And here’s a bonus—there’s tons of parking for a downtown Montreal spot! I love that I never have to stress about finding a place to park. His prices are so good that you seriously can’t miss out on this guy. I honestly think he’s worth every dollar and more! I even drive 40 minutes just to see him—haha, that’s how good he is! If you want to feel relaxed, recharged, and totally taken care of, Matthieu is your guy! Seriously, can’t recommend him enough!

🚩 I will echo the other negative comments and red flags on here. I tried to book him via his website, on which there is a list of his available time slots. His website showed that he was available for the time I booked, and he even sent an email confirming my appointment after I booked. However, he postponed the appointment multiple times and ultimately ended up cancelling (saying he was running late and some other bla bla). He cancelled just a few minutes short of the scheduled appointment while I was already on my way there. He seems disorganized, the available slots on his website are not kept up to date, and his scheduling management very far from what you would expect from a professional. Not sure if he is overbooking or just not leaving enough time between his appointments to be prepare for the next one. It is not worth booking with him, as he will most likely cancel, or ask to postpone on short notice.

I had an amazing deep tissue massage with Mathieu - really skilled, intense, and comprehensive. Really focused on and targeted problematic areas in my back and neck, which I've found difficult for other massageists to identify and treat. He had a lot of thoughtful insights and tips after the massage for me to understand some of my issues better, and how to do exercises. Overall, super professional and skilled and knowledgable guy. Highly recommend!

I rarely give a poor review but felt the need to do so because I had a very bad experience with this masseuse that others should be aware of. I had wanted to do a 2 hour massage - body and face massage. The price was 190. He cancelled on me twice which was a bit of a red flag but not a big deal for me. I’m someone who’s chill and generous about time so it didn’t bother me too much. After cancelling the second time, he offered to bring the price down to $140 - he offered a discount for each cancellation and he had a promo going on. On the night of the massage, I had accidentally mixed up our new time of 6:30 with our previous time of 6:45. So that was my bad. He texted me around 6 to confirm and I said I planned to be there for 6:45. That’s when he brought it to my attention that I was 15 mins off. But he was relaxed about it and immediately said, no problem - 6:45 is fine. The massage itself was very good but by the time we were done the paperwork and I had changed, the actual massage was only 90 mins. He had told me this is standard practice but it’s not. I’ve been to massages before and they tell you to arrive early to do the paperwork. As well, he didn’t do a face massage at all. I am currently learning about face massage techniques and he basically ran his hands over a few problem areas for a few minutes and that was all. This is really different from the description on his website - and technically, is not a face massage. But the part that compels me to give a 1/5 star rating and warn others is that, at the end of the massage, he says "That’ll be $150". It was only $10 difference but for me it was the principle. So I said that I thought he’d texted $140. Then he didn’t communicate clearly. He said something along the lines of 150 is basically 140. When I challenged this, he then said that it was actually about me mixing up the start time. I still was confused because the time saved in my calendar from his website was 6:45. But then when I pulled it out, I saw that that was from the previously scheduled massage that had been cancelled. I was a bit miffed at how he had tried to change 140 to 150 as if it were no big deal. I also really didn’t like how he went about things and the fact that he wanted to have this stressful conversation at the end of the massage. I was so incredibly relaxed after the massage that honestly, my defences were completely down. If my mixup with the time bothered him, he should have been clear and direct: "We can start at 6:45 but I will have to charge you $10 because it will now delay my next client." Which is what he eventually went onto say after I pressed about why he was trying to suddenly change the price. The worst part was that I left feeling all emotionally upset- and massages are supposed to have the opposite effect! I felt taken advantage of because I was so vulnerable and unable to defend myself after a massage. I ended up generously tipping him too, out of obligation and guilt about the confusion over the start time. I realized after that I should’ve told him I was going to give him a fat tip but since he was being so petty about $10 and 15 mins when he had cancelled on me twice and only did a 90 min massage, not the 120 minute one I had booked, that I was no longer going to leave a tip. But again, I was just in such a disarmed state with my parasympathetic nervous system fully activated after the massage that there was no way I could’ve activated my sympathetic nervous system to rise to my own defence. Finally, he gave me no feedback. RMTs prescribed by doctors (as is my case) are supposed to give some feedback and recommendations afterwards. That didn’t happen. It was an awful experience and I’ll never return. As well, I googled some of the most reputable RMTs with decades of experience, and their prices are better - 159 plus tax for a 90 min massage. Since his 120 massage is a 90 min massage, his prices (before discounts) are 190 - which is way too much, especially considering how awful the customer service was.

Nicole Hiotacacos · Google · 1 Jul 2023

In all my experience with various massage therapists throughout the years, none compare to the experience with Mathieu. He is very knowledgeable and attentive. If there was more the 5 stars, I’d give him 10!

Aida Dautova · Google · 7 Dec 2020

Mathieu made my stress and back pain go away! Mathieu is incredibly attentive. Always making sure that you are comfortable focusing on the zones that really tense and make sure that they are treated the most. He is very professional and attentive to the client. Absolutely recommend him! Happy I found him!
