Her medical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and genuine compassion make her a vital part of my healthcare team. She’s an expert in thyroid treatment and has guided my Hashimoto’s care for over 20 years. Dr. Hayman combines her medical expertise with genuine empathy, taking the time to understand me as a whole person. “I'm incredibly grateful for Halifax Naturopathic Health Centre. A few years ago I was having serious health concerns and wasn't getting any help from our medical system. Had need on the "need a family Dr" registry for 8 years, and was so fortunately recommended Dr. Sarah Baillie. Looking back now, this first meeting with Sarah was life changing and she also recommended me to other very knowledgeable and kind experts in a variety of other areas. Learnings from working with Sarah and her team, and those she's recommended me to have given me the knowledge and backing to advocate for myself through our health care system, improve my overall mental and physical wellness, helping me to be more preventative with my health than reactive. Even the supplements I've been sold by the clinic (which I'll admit, are pricy for me) have worked and feel like a great investment in my health when I do need them. “Dr. Hayman’s behaviour has been consistently unprofessional in my experience. The strong push to purchase expensive supplements without clear explanation was saddening. Moreover, I was actively discouraged from using conventional medicine with the conversations carrying a clear tone of judgment. I believe healthcare should be rooted in respect, understanding, and informed choices, but this practice does not reflect those values. In response to my review, I received a lengthy and dismissive email, which was disappointing. I waited a year to post my review, taking time to focus on my health and prioritize my well-being. I chose not to follow up with the practitioner’s office, as I was advised by the medical professionals I was working with at the time. “I am a patient of Dr. Hayman’s and she has been a great source of knowledge to help me navigate how to best care for myself when my GP is not approachable. She has been able to advise me of tests I need and also put my mind at ease for some other minor ailments. “Dr. Hayman has been my go-to naturopathic doctor for both myself and my children. Each time we have consulted her, she has impressed us with her direct and focused approach. Her treatments are not just about addressing symptoms; they aim at the underlying causes for long-term wellness. “Dr Baillie is really great! She's an excellent listener, kind, and seemed to really understand my health issues. I also appreciate that she kept my supplement/self-care advice relatively simple. “AMAZING! I see Carolyn for Acupuncture, and have been for almost a year now, and she is honestly THE BEST. I started going for facial, aesthetic acupuncture which has now basically turned into a full body acupuncture. She really addresses the root cause of imbalances in the body and she also teaches you and informs you on what shes doing. Which I love! She is so kind, she puts you at ease, and is so easy to talk to. Working with her has honestly changed my skin, hair, and I look forward to her treatments every few weeks SO MUCH!
