“I’ve been thinking about posting this review for a while now, and I think I can finally do it justice. Everybody stronger has fundamentally changed me. I joined thinking I would get a program I could do at home, and maybe occasionally at the gym and ended up finding a community. I live in a large body, and the gym has never been a space I have felt safe/supported or even welcomed. Walking into EBS I was shaking, and defensive and ready to be told all the things that were wrong with me. Instead, I was met with smiling faces, an understanding trainer, and a space that lets me show up as I am, every time. KJ (my incredible personal trainer) has celebrated all of my victories with me - as silly as they can be, and Geoff has pushed me outside of my comfort zone reminding me that representation matters and I am worthy of taking up space/being seen. They supported me to meet my goal of going to a different gym when I was out of town for work. The best part was knowing how to accomplish the workout I wanted. (In case you are wondering other gyms are overrated…) If you’re thinking about joining a space where the expectation is to be treated with respect, kindness, compassion and acceptance this truly is it. If you have ever thought about accessing a gym space but haven’t known where to start, haven’t felt safe accessing the space, or thought you weren’t a gym person, this is the space for you. It’s been over a year, and I am grateful everyday that I took the risk and reached out to EBS, and that I get the privilege of working with KJ who never stops looking for the answer to a question, and is always finding the thing I need to do, to help reach and exceed my goals.”Read moreShow less

“This is going to be a long one, but if you're reading this and you're not sure if you should schedule that consultation and start training at EBS, you ✨need to read this✨. Especially if you're someone who often feels excluded, shamed, or uncomfortable in gym spaces because of who you are and how you present to the world. About a year ago, I sent off a late night request for a meet and greet after thinking on it for some time. I figured it was my birthday present to me, and if I did it for a few months and then dropped off like I usually do, well those were a few months that I got some new information and moved my body. I had seen on social media that EBS spoke at a panel at a Fat Market and I thought: "a gym that doesn't hate fat people? Okay, maybe this won't be terrible..." And then I met who was going to be my trainer - a kind, hilarious, brilliant, encouraging, and silly lil' goose named Ace. Not only did they make me feel ✨actually excited✨ about moving my body, but I have learned so much about movement and bodies and mobility that I wish I had all this information years ago. Why is this such a feat to get me to go consistently for a year to a gym and work out? Well, my pal, I'm a former competitive figure skater who lives with chronic pain, is AuDHD, and is plus size. My body has not always felt like a safe place to be in. Whether it's societal expectations of what a "good body" is, sensory overwhelm, or just plain pain, my body often felt like something I was always trying to run away from. And one of those first conversations I had with Ace about how many of us don't feel at home in our bodies felt like cracking a door open to that safety. This is the first time in my entire life since those early days of figure skating as a child where I have moved my body because I enjoy how it feels to move my body, not because I hate my body and I am punishing it. But now I feel capable. I don't hurt as often. I'm sleeping better. I'm moving more. I have more actual, honest, legitimate fun. And I'm strong as heck now, friends. I've never felt so strong in my life (and I'm an eldest daughter so that's saying a lot, iykyk). There's something pretty magical about being at EBS. They live the values that they speak about and they actively advocate for them. They embrace you as a whole person and are interested in who you are. Ace takes my love for D&D and when I'm struggling with that last push they remind me I'm pulling my pals out of battle, I gotta save them! - and I can get the rest of the way and finish out the rep. The other trainers and even fellow clients have also cheered me on, encouraged me, and welcomed me with a friendly greeting, even if they don't know my name or my story. We have shared recommendations of good food, events, shows to watch, books to read, or the names of other professionals that are welcoming and inclusive, and it truly feels like a community there. And sometimes there's a super cute dog friend! 🐶 So. Now that I have written a full novel, I hope that you will consider signing up at EBS*. If you're someone who identifies with being queer, gender non-conforming, fat or plus size, neurodivergent, marginalized in any way, or even just a silly lil' goose... EBS will treat you like you have a place in community with them. Right from the first interaction. And that's a very rare and very special thing in this world and especially in this province for a lot of us. (*but if you take my regular time slot, I *will* cry a lil'...)”Read moreShow less

“Every single person in this location is kindness personified; the vibe is always welcoming and friendly. FST has been so helpful and is a really complementary practice in conjunction with talk therapy (for me, at least). KJ is very good, extremely knowledgeable, and her empathy and compassion shine through in all she does. If you're looking for a truly safe place full of people who aren't interested in judging you, only in helping you achieve your goals - and the sweetest pup, Bubba! - I can't recommend Every Body Stronger enough.”Read moreShow less

“Incredible gym full of welcoming, inclusive and super knowledgeable coaches. I don't always love a typical gym environment, but Every Body Stronger has the very best vibes!”

“I'm returning to activity after a serious concussion and a series of abdominal surgeries. Small Group training has been amazing. I'm encouraged, met at my own skill level yet also pushed to improve my form and ability. I feel empowered to strengthen my body, improve my balance, and also avoid isolation. I am always eager to go to the gym now where in the past, I was always discouraged and overwhelmed. Very happy to be part of this community.”Read moreShow less

“I’ve never been able to stick to a gym routine—until now. For almost two years, I’ve consistently looked forward to coming here, and that’s entirely because of the welcoming environment and the incredible support from my trainer, Geoff. Geoff is everything I could ask for in a trainer: he listens, understands, and pushes me in ways that feel both compassionate and empowering. He’s helped me build not only physical strength, but also inner strength. His approach is thoughtful, motivating, and grounded in genuine care. The gym itself is a comfortable, supportive space where I feel like I truly belong. And there’s one unique feature that might sound unusual but makes a huge difference: Bubba the dog. On the days Bubba is there, everything feels lighter. He’s always so happy to see us, and somehow, a wagging tail and a friendly nudge make workouts even better. It’s hard to explain how much comfort and joy that brings—but it’s something really special that sets this place apart. This gym and the team behind it are true assets to the community. I’ve personally worked with Geoff and have had an incredibly positive experience, but I know the same care and professionalism runs throughout the entire staff. I highly recommend checking it out—it’s a place that supports both your physical and mental well-being in a way that’s rare to find.”Read moreShow less

“Such an amazing place! Geoff and family you have built something special here. My wife has been going for personal training with Ace Rodriguez (trainer extraordinaire!) for over three years now. I started joining her on her trips there over a year ago to try to keep up with her! We are early 40’s and tried a few gyms over the years and found them all kind of the same. There’s a different feel and energy here, and Bubba the therapy dog is there some days too. More than trainers and staff they are now friends who have real conversations about our lives, kids, good and bad days, etc. Pushing you when you need, adding weight when they think you didn’t notice. I’m now signed up and will be attending regularly too. I don’t have any great goals in mind, just to be healthier for my future and not winded running to the mailbox. Ace has helped me more than I’ve been able to motivate myself to do. Cheers guys”Read moreShow less

“Everybody Stronger is such a welcoming and community-oriented gym space!! I feel so lucky to get to be a part of the wonderful tapestry of people that make it what it is and I recommend it to SO many of my own clients! My whole life I have been very gym-phobic, but the combination of this inclusive and non-judgmental environment with having a wonderful trainer (David Campbell) I have overcome that fear and am so excited every time I level up in what I’m able to do! I am genuinely so excited every time I get to come to EBS for a training session! The owner, Geoff, clearly cares so much for the people who chose to come to his gym. He puts in place ACTIONABLE systems and staff training that reinforce his desire to have the space operate as a hyper-inclusive, queer friendly and trauma-informed gym! Trying out this gym will improve your fitness but ALSO your general mood and connection to community! Building friendships is inevitable! And a huge bonus being that you get to hang with Geoff’s very charming golden retriever, Bubba, while you get your sweat on!”Read moreShow less
