“I had a problem with my shoulder and after seeing a couple of health professionals and still not knowing what I had, I decided to cross the bridge (I'm on the South Shore) to go see Danielle Day, physio at Énergie Active Physio. BEST IDEA EVER! First, the staff is all amazing. Very polite, friendly and welcoming. As for Danielle, after 1 hour with her, I left with a diagnosis and some exercises to do. “I’d been struggling with a hip flexor issue for several months. I had seen a physio and went through multiple different interventions, but none had much lasting impact. I’d needed consulted an osteopath before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was extremely surprised to experience dramatic improvement in pain and stiffness after just one visit. Aiden Doyon-Lessard was very thorough and deliberate in assessing my issue, both through her questions and physical examination. “Couldn't say enough positive things about this physiotherapy clinic. The clinic is clean, spacious that is very well-equipped with variety of professional apparatus and equipment to help with the rehabilitation. It is very professionally run with courteous, helpful and very organized staff who managed appointments and invoices effectively. The clinic is located at the back of a mall and needs to be accessed by doors located by the other side of the mall. For our very first visit, we didn't know and accessed the mall by the front door and was not able to find the place as the front and the back of the mall seemed to be completely disconnected from each other with no signs at the front pointing to any of the businesses that are located at the back of the mall and the only way to access the back of the mall from the front is through a narrow, unassuming corridor. After contacting the office, the manager guided us step by step over the phone on how to reach the clinic and personally greeted us mid-way in the corridor and escorted us to the clinic. We went to this clinic to treat my child's jaw pain in what's called the TMJ area. The physiotherapist that we engaged in to treat my child's TMJ pain was Jaclyn Kelly and she was a godsend to us. We were very lucky to have found her. She is one of the few physiotherapists who are specially trained in managing TMJ jaw pain and she is extremely knowledgeable about the condition and how to manage it. She was able to pinpoint exactly where the pain originates and not only that found the exact cause that gave rise to the pain. In the process, my child and I learned something important about my child's body and how it relates to the TMJ jaw pain she was experiencing. We had four physiotherapy sessions with Jaclyn and she provided effective targeted therapy as well as prescribed effective at-home exercises for my child to do to control and eliminate the pain. My child had been experiencing pain in the jaw for more than two years and nothing was of any relief, hot compress therapy, massages by a previous orthodontist that we engaged in (who made the pain worse with his massage). When the pain was at its worst, my child had to pass up on so many food because the jaw could not be opened without pain to bite on them. After four sessions with Jaclyn, now the pain in my child's jaw is completely gone and my child is able to enjoy food of any size. So for anybody who is experiencing pain in the jaw in the TMJ area, we highly recommend Jaclyn Kelly.”Read moreShow less
