“Sigh. I signed up for a deep tissue massage, specifically for my upper back. I wanted deep pressure there. While I did receive some deep pressure, it was not nearly enough. Instead I got hot stones, arm massage (when I asked for upper back, shoulders and neck). I want to leave a deep massage appointment feeling like my muscles got worked, and that did not happen. Also, the room felt a bit cold, there was a loud, ticking clock. The biggest thing though was the music. Every two songs there was an obnoxious ad for Youtube music. There is nothing therapeutic or relaxing about several ads during a massage. This completely ruined the experience for me and seems like an easily fixed problem. “My massage from Augustine would’ve been fine if I had been looking for a just a relaxation massage but I was not. I specifically went in with a problem area that I requested be given attention and I swear he maybe spent 15 minutes on that. He kept doing my legs and asking to do my glutes as I continued to mention my stiff, sore neck. Even after all the mentions he suggested he doing my arms for the remaining 15 minutes and I again requested attention to my neck so he did my neck and face. It was strange and disappointing. Professionalism by the girl who checked me in was also lacking as she came up front munching a sandwich with one hand and typing my info in with the other. I realize that staff are human and need to eat but at the same time, having worked in several professional settings, that sandwich could’ve been left in the back for the couple minutes it took for her to be up front.”Read moreShow less
