“My teenage daughter started therapy at this center. A day before her second session, her appointment was abruptly cancelled because her "therapist was leaving the clinic". While therapists often leave clinics, there were two major failures here: 1. No special effort was made to ensure we realized the appointment was cancelled. Our 13 year old waited in the clinic for an hour. 2. No handoff process was done to help transition from her current therapist to a new one. Even with one session, therapy is all about relationships, and this one was not handled professionally. Even a phone call from either the therapist or the clinic would have gone a long way. I understand that things come up with individual therapists. But a single email is not enough to facilitate an abrupt transition like this.”Read moreShow less
