We originally contacted Cherish to look for an education advocate as we were looking for someone to help us fight for 1:1 support for our kindergartner. They suggested Kit so we thought we'd try her out. We had no idea how much we needed her until we started sessions. In fact we had absolutely no idea how much we were carrying until we started talking. The many many ways she has improved our quality of life are immeasurable. I almost want to say that hiring her was more important than any SLP or OT because all the AFU hoops, and the hard choices, the meltdowns, the small tears in the marriage - they all start to add up, and she was the person to check in on us, reminding us to refuel, to reflect or to reevaluate. Everything we give up willingly to fight for our children has its invisible price and many don't become visible until someone's there to hold you up and share some of your burden. And believe me she will search out any way she can to help - from suggesting and researching various therapies and grants, to helping us fill out grant forms, to battling the school administration on zoom in IEP meetings, to advocating for ways for us to destress. But the best part is how she helped us realize that everything we are feeling is totally perfectly normal. Kit is a fierce and tireless advocate for our child and we cannot more strongly recommend this wonderful human. Absolutely worth ever penny and we will hold on to her as long as we can!

I appreciate the neurodiverse approach used, There were thoughtful questions and some of out the box answers that a traditional counsellor may not utilize. I would highly recommend getting in touch and setting up a consult to see if these new age tactics are a good fit for you or your loved one!

In the 2-hour workshop, Christine shared so many practical tips and relevant information that we can apply right away in our work with the families. She had our attention from the beginning to the end, and we strong recommend her to any service providers, parents/caregivers, and educators!
